Today’s recipe is a favourite one for many people. That is Gobi Manchurian. This is loved by kids to adults cos of its flavor and taste. I’m sharing Gobi Manchurian dry recipe which I prepared recently in my house and it came out so good like restaurant style.

It is so easy to make and it can be prepared within 30 minutes. It can be prepared for special occasions or as guest recipe too. This goes well with pulao, fried rice or any dish as per your choice.

Gobi Manchurian Dry recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cauliflower
  • 2 medium Onion
  • 1 spoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 spoon Kasmiri chilli powder
  • 1 spoon Tomato Sauce
  • 1 spoon Red Chilli sauce
  • 1 spoon Soya sauce
  • 1/2 Lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • Handful Coriander leaves
  • Oil for deep frying

To boil Cauliflower,

  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 spoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 spoon Salt

For coating batter ,

  • 3 tbsp All purpose flour/Maida
  • 2 tbsp Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1/2 spoon Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/2 spoon Salt
  • Water required

For corn flour paste,

  • 1 spoon Corn flour
  • 5 spoon Water

Instructions 

  • Cut the cauliflower into florets.
  • Boil water with turmeric powder and salt.
  • Add the florets.
  • Boil for 10 minutes.
  • Strain it.
  • In a mixing bowl, add maida.
  • Add rice flour.
  • Add corn flour.
  • Add chilli powder.
  • Add salt.
  • Add water and form thick coating batter.
  • Add the florets to the batter and coat evenly.
  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Fry the cauliflower in batches.
  • Turn over and cook till crisp.
  • Remove it separately.
  • Meanwhile, prepare corn flour paste by mixing corn flour and water.
  • Heat oil.
  • Saute onions till golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste.
  • Saute till it shrinks.
  • Add chilli powder.
  • Add the tomato and chilli sauce.
  • Add soya sauce.
  • Add lemon juice.
  • Add the fried gobi.
  • Toss well.
  • Add corn flour paste.
  • Toss.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve.

Notes

  • Boiling Cauliflower helps to remove worms within.
  • Lemon juice can be replaced by vinegar.
  • Kashmiri chilli powder gives nice color.
