Today I’m sharing a very different yet healthy evening snack that taste so good on a rainy evening. Everyone must have tried bonda’s with gram flour. In this I have used Ragi flour which makes the recipe more healthy.
Many kids doesn’t like ragi much. So try to include ragi in their diet in interesting ways since ragi has many health benefits. This snack recipe is not only for adults but also toddlers can enjoy.
This ragi bonda is crispier outside and soft inside. Go ahead and try out and share your feedback.
Ragi Onion Bonda
Healthy Evening snack made with ragi
Servings: 10 Bondas
Ingredients
- 1 cup Ragi flour
- 1 cup Rice Flour
- 1 Onion Sliced lengthwise
- 1 spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/4 spoon Turmeric powder
- 1 spoon Chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- Water required
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add ragi flour.
- Add rice flour to it.
- Add sliced onions.
- Add ginger garlic paste.
- Add turmeric, chilli powder and salt.
- Add water little by little and make like dough.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Add 2 spoons of hot oil to the prepared dough.
- Make small balls and drop into oil and cook in low flame. Turnover and cook till onions turn crisp.
- Serve hot along with tea.
Notes
- You can add veggies like carrots to make it more healthier.
- You can try in other millet flour following the same method.
- You can add green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves too.
