Mango Falooda/ Falooda recipe

This Mango falooda recipe is a great summer recipe for kids and adults to enjoy in this summer.

This recipe can be prepared by many variations. I have prepared in my own way. You can add chopped nuts of your choice plus can add any flavour of icecream as toppings.

The main ingredient used in falooda is the Sabja seeds also known as Falooda seeds. I have also used the Almond gum also known as Badam Pisin in tamil to enhance more cooling effect in this very hot summer.

Ingredients

  • 500 ml Milk
  • 2 medium Fully ripened Mangoes
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • Icecream of your choice.
  • 2 tbsp Sabja seeds
  • 1/4 cup Semolina
  • small piece Almond gum

Instructions 

  • Start preparing by boiling milk and completely cool it.
    Meanwhile cook semolina till soft.(I missed the pic)
  • Take mangoes in a blender and blend along with some milk and sugar.
  • Mix the mango shake with remaining milk and refrigerate for 2 hours. Also keep the serving glass in the refrigerator for 20 mins.

Serving Suggestion,

  • In a glass, first layer up with cubed mango pieces.
  • Add a spoon of semolina.
  • Add a spoon of Almond gum.
  • Add a spoon of sabja seeds.
  • Add the mango milkshake that we prepared.
  • Again add chopped mango piece.
  • Top with sabja seeds.
  • I served with Kesar and pista kulfi on top.

Notes

  • You can modify and try with any other flavoured fruits like strawberry.
  • Add nuts of your choice.
  • You can add any flavoured icecream.
  • It’s important to soak the almond gum for 8 hours to get the jelly consistency.
