To temper,

Instructions
Wash and cook pidikarunai for 3-4 whistles. Mash it and keep them.
Soak tamarind in hot water.
In a kadai, do the tempering.
Saute onions and curry leaves.
Saute tomatoes.
Add the spice powders.
Add water and salt.
Add the mashed kilangu and cook covered for 10 mins in low flame.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Notes
Try to prepare this kulambu atleast once in a month.
Mashing kilangu gives nice texture and taste to kulambu.
