Everyone loves bread. This evening snack with bread is so simple to make and can be prepared with very less ingredients available in our house. This snack can be prepared for sudden guests easily.
You can make stuffing according to your choice. I have used poha for stuffing. Likewise you can make many variations for stuffing. This recipe can also be made for appetiser in homemade parties.
Bread bites / Bread Pockets
Crispy fried Evening snack or Starter for parties.
Servings: 8 Bites
Ingredients
- 4 slices Bread
- 1/4 cup White Poha
- 1 small Onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 spoon Red chilli powder
- 2 spoon Coriander leaves
- 1/4 spoon Chaat masala
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
For coating,
- 1 no. Egg
- 1 cup Bread crumbs
Instructions
- Take poha in a bowl.
- Add onion and salt.
- Add chilli powder.
- Add coriander leaves.
- Add chaat masala.
- Mix everything.
- Take a bread slice and roll it thin.
- Cut into half.
- Add the stuffing, seal the edges with water.
- And close them like small pockets.
- You can also make with whole bread without cutting into half as in pic.
- Now ready for coating.
For coating,
- Beat an egg in abowl and take bread crumbs in another.
- Dip the bread pickets in egg.
- Followed by bread crumbs.
- Do with all slices.
- Heat oil and start frying.
- Fry till crispy.
- Serve.
Notes
- Serve with ketchup or anu dipping according to your choice.
- It tastes great when warm.
